'Adventure
And W!LDLiFE The Series'
It all started with pictures and scrapbooks way back in the day,
and eventually, this website. It was only a matter of time before
video cameras started rolling on the action. As a result, nearly
everything you see here, and a lot of stuff you haven't has been
captured. We look forward to sharing these adventures and more when
we take over a tv screen near you. In the meantime here's some previews
and series info... |

'Getting
Schooled in Open Water'
This dive had an end result we were highly focused on, and as usual,
we needed to document the effort. Fortunately, Jim was armed with
his kickass mini-DV cam in an 'Ocean Images' housing. We had our
usual topside gear, but for the wet stuff we were packing an $8
WallyWorld waterproof 35mm. So look out.

'Disney
World For Sharks'
The objective here was simple; bait, catch, tag, document and release
as many sharks as possible in 10 hours on the beach. This was about
numbers ... period. And it's this kind of fishing, attitude and
camaraderie that epitomizes what this sport is all about.

'Monster
Idiots - Our Adventure With Frank Mundus'
When we decided to establish The All-Star Rod & Gun Club Hall
of Fame to honor those who have inspired us to do what we do, the
first inductees were our grandfathers, a close family friend and
Captain Frank Mundus. Little did we know at the time, but the wheels
of fate were set in motion. Click to Continue

'Resurrection
of the Cricket II'
We were proud to be among a few hand-picked individuals heading
up the rescue and restorations of this storied vessel for a man
who spent nearly a half-century at her helm steering a course straight
for the history books.

'The
SeaMonster Circus Comes to Town'
After nearly a year of preparation, we were finally on-location
in Montauk, NY to shoot featured episodes of 'Our Wild Life'. This
was an against-all-odds proposition from the start. But apparently,
none of us were listening to that crap because it's Game On! Lights,
Cameras ... Shark Action! Click

'Partners
In Grime'
We're Monster Hunting, as usual, but this expedition would also
serve as a full-blown wet test to see exactly how much support gear
we could cram in two kayaks for a long-distance paddle.

'The
Wolf Man'
Win Sell has been tending to the wildlife in our patch of Florida
since the 1960's. But it was a face-to-face encounter with a wild
pack of wolves as a child that changed his life forever.

'All
I Want For Christmas ... SHARK!'
We've been on the road in production a lot this year and missed
the entire summer season of Land-Based Shark Fishing here in Florida.
But just because the temperatures aren't a hundred degrees outside
doesn't mean we can't go and do a little catching.

'A
Pelican's Best Friends'
The timing for our visit could not have been better. That is, unless
you were a pelican. Linda told us that dozens of them were flooding
the center for a variety of injuries. And Virtually all the problems
requiring their rescue and rehab were caused by fishing-related
incidents. Click to Continue ... |

'Beginning
With A Bang!'
We moved quickly to get the fish released. Precise measurements
were taken, along with photos. Now, with the clock ticking, we opted
not to tag the fish, and Brooks prepared for the release.

'Ending
On A High Note'
What's the best time to go fishing? How about anytime you can. This
was our first land-based shark fishing expedition in nearly 8 months.
Since it had been so long, and the decision to go was last-minute,
it was made all the sweeter.

'Joint-Venture
Adventure'
We didn't have any planes to catch and there was still daylight
left so why stop now? Throughout the day, we witnessed numerous
sharks fully breach the water while feeding. When hookups did take
place, every shark did a pretty damn good sailfish impersonation
jumping, flipping and head shaking above the surface.

'Skynyrd
Shows & Marathon Mahi'
When we wrapped our last show on that leg, we were in Richmond,
VA where we helped Skynyrd rock a full house at the Richmond Amphitheatre.
That town's great, but it’s a long way from saltwater. Click

'Baby
Alligator Rescue'
This little gator, now nicknamed 'Bob', hung around our dock for
a few weeks when it was decided we needed to see what could be done
to free it of the extra baggage. Click

'Chaos
In The Cockpit'
The strategy takes full advantage with a 5 line spread consisting
of: 2 outriggers, 2 planed off the transom and a long flatline up
the middle. Gold spoons and a few skirts for the big boys gets it
done at around 1400 RPM.

'April
Fool's Day -- For The Sharks, That Is'
Jim
opened a black garbage bag and displayed one of the most beautiful
sights any guy going shark fishing could possibly imagine. We began
salivating at the sight of about 20 pounds of huge mackerel heads
attached to entire filleted carcasses.

'Spring
Fever'
This could be a real shooting gallery, especially at night. We'll
probably opt for a zodiac or small launch to be on the safe side.
Something about pack-hunting bulls mixed in with tarpon-lusting
hammers that makes a 9' frenzy kayak feel like a piece of plywood.

'Shark
Infested Waters ... Priceless'
The active readings we saw on the depth finder proved this to be
absolutely certain. There were several huge fish swimming just beneath
our feet. Our jaws dropped and the drool flowed.

'Silver
Kings Crash The Party'
While the shark baits are soaking, it’s good time to fish
the surf and see what else is eating. For the most part, it was
pretty quiet. Maybe the storms and barometric pressure were shutting
things down. Click to Continue

'Feeding
The Sharks'
I hear Tom screaming, “Fish On!” His rig is going off
just like mine did. A DOUBLE HOOKUP! Enthusiasm spreads as the Penn
strike alarm on Ray’s 309 joins the party. A TRIPLE HOOKUP!

'Bullfight
In Boca Grande!'
Huge hammers common in excess of 12 feet, solitary tigers and plenty
of large, pack-hunting bulls are always on the guest list. Especially
in the summer months when the tarpon show is in town. Click

'Raising
The Sails'
Except for the lulling sound of the idling twin diesels there wasn’t
much going on. A few of the party had retreated into the salon to
nap off the rest of the trip while Brooks manned the cockpit on
his watch with Tom. Click to

'Brooks
II Gets His First Poon'
Brooks rushes to set the hook and shouts, “I’m not losing
this one!” He had learned well from his previous two hookups
and was calm and determined as he adjusted the drag, implemented
a solid hook set and slipped into his harness. Click

'Backyard
Snook Invasion'
I shout to ask him what he’s got on and he says, “I’m
not sure, but it’s big! Get your axx down here and help me
land this thing!” In the few moments it takes me to get there,
he’s lost a lot of line and his fish is flirting with the
mangroves our side of the waterway. Click

'First
2006 Trip Hat Trick'
We haven't had a multiple shark trip in a while. The water temps
are getting into the low '70's and winds are beginning to switch
out of the east. For now, zero indications of red tide and the h'cane
season is still months away. Sounds good to us.

'Late
Season Run'
This is just the kind of place where a variety of shark species
including bulls, lemons, hammers, sandbars, and even the occasional
tiger could make a decent living so we were eager to stop by and
see how business was going.

'Tag
Team Shark Action'
From the sounds of it, these Club members enjoyed themselves for
the better part of an hour and put on one hell of a show for the
tourists and staff at 'Sharky's Restaurant' on the Pier. Way to
get it done, guys.

'The
Sea Oats Invitational'
We had runs, pick ups, drops and more runs ... some of them long,
deliberate and strong. But we all scratched holes in our heads trying
to figure out how some of them didn't result in hookups.

'In
Your Own Backyard'
We're fortunate living where we do and it's easy to forget what
lives and eats a few paces out the back door. Tarpon, manatees,
gators, sharks, porpise, redfish, snook, snapper, trout, jacks.
Man, it's hard to get any work done sometimes.
